Afterwards, he was able to marry Genevieve Landry at St-Francois, l'Ile D'Orlean.

He died in 1772 in St Louis de Terrebonne.
"In the year one thousand seven hundred and seventy-two, our priest has signed that Jean Larose husband of Genevieve Landry was buried in the cemetery of our parish, his age being around forty four years. He always conducted himself as a good christian."
